Community-Based Interventions
We develop series of community-based interventions with community leaders and members to question gender norms and promote gender equality. Participants are sensitized to the issues of sexual and physical violence, the services available to support victims, how to locate the various service providers in their communities and how to support survivors as family and friends.
MEDIA ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN
We raise awareness campaigns on different forms of sexual and domestic abuse. Also, we engage the media on thought-provoking
conversations to challenge the stereotypical media representation of women and men that reinforce
dangerous gender views and how cases of sexual and gender-based violence are reported. This strategy enables us to promote new ways of portraying women, particularly victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence tackle the misconceptions of the issue that makes it hard for survivors to seek and receive the assistance they need.
Promotion of educational actions in school
The School Violence Prevention Program is a comprehensive and interactive approach that consists of series of role-playing activities and tutorials with images, videos and drawings to facilitate discussions on consent negotiation, boundaries, respect, healthy gender expression, conflict resolution, the importance of asking for help and how to encourage peers to ask for help and receive the help needed.
